2'-Deoxyadenosine (CAS: 958-09-8), also called DNA nucleoside A, is a nucleoside adenosine derivative, pairing with deoxythymidine (T) in double-stranded DNA. 2'-Deoxyadenosine is a kind of natural deoxyribose nucleoside, is the structure of the DNA fragments, and other natural nucleoside involved in almost all living cells in the transfer of genetic information, affecting the synthesis of protein and polysaccharide of metabolism, and the organism, such as cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and inhibiting plays an important regulatory role. It is not only an important raw material for gene medicine and gene engineering research, but also has a good physiological activity. 2'-Deoxyadenosine can inhibit insulin release induced by sugar, and can reduce the effect of specific phosphodilipase inhibitors or adenosine cyclase activator to promote insulin secretion.
